The year is coming to an end and with it some of our experiences say goodbye. Everything that we experienced undoubtedly set a precedent in us that will undoubtedly be part of what we will be in the new year that awaits us.
Each sunrise represents a new opportunity to try something different and with that mentality, we must take advantage of each day of our lives knowing that an opportunity like the one we have today, may not be there in the future.
My sincere wish in this new year is that you have the strength and willingness to work for each of your goals; even more so, that you give light to new dreams, try different things that perhaps you never imagined you would try. Life is short so live it up.
Sometimes, I just do not want to do anything in particular. I would easily spend the entire day lying on my bed. Well... maybe not that literally, but the thing is that definitely happens, and there is a lot of reasons for it.
Days like today, I'd like to read some of my favourite comics on Webtoon (I got really keen on it during the vacations term). I used to read every single day, but now I do not have enough time to do so. There is a lot of homework to do and extracurricular (?) activities, so if I want to sleep properly I can only focus on the most important activities, leaving aside some enjoyable things. I still do have some breaks where I clear my mind and repose from the actual work. That is the way most of us manage to cope with all the pressure.
In any case, the point is whatever the reason you've got to not feel like doing anything, just don't feel guilty and give yourself time to place everything that may be on your mind in order and keep going.
That is all for today, I hope my next blog be something more interesting.
Today's post is about one of the things that are most ingrained in our inner being but that rarely anyone dares to externalize: our glowing dreams.
Undoubtedly, each of us has experienced at least once in a lifetime a power that burns inside ourselves, an ignition that tells us: "You are wild and fierce like fire. Everything you set your mind to can be successfully done by you." And that, in a utopic world would be the perfect mindset of keeping; however, the truth is that it doesn't work like that.
Surrounding us, we have got a variety of factors that we can control; let us call them "nighttime" or just obscurity. They are there as part of the nighttime, but somehow we cannot perceive them or predict them. They are merely part of the cosmos.
If you walk around and you cannot see any stop signs, you may be at risk of being hit by some celestial body; or in turn, even falling into a black hole. In the best cases, there is no danger and your dreams come true; but sometimes they might turn out blue. What do you do then?
Although you may feel alone and hopeless, you must remember you are not. Even the good boys and girls that were said to be easy to raise and whose lives were easier to live, have scraped knees they have tried to hide. So, I might not be the right one and you may call me wrong; nevertheless, I'm just longing for you to keep your fire alive. At the moment it may seem like a fragile flame; but eventually, it will be stronger and scorcher. Even if you are frightened now, do not give up before opponents you have not fought yet.
"Keep on shining, make it brighter than a spotlight."
If you ask any of your friends which cartoons they think are better, they are expected to state preferring the ones they saw in their childhood rather than modern cartoons. This totally makes sense from the subjective perspective in which they perceive the programs they used to watch as the symbol of their childish joy. Going along with that line, nowadays children may find our longed-for cartoons a bit boring. This is a cycle that even we went through with our parents and grandparents, and we are likely to repeat with our own children in future generations.
Apart from these deliberations, there are certain factors that influence the way some people perceive determined programs. The reason behind it stands on not all cartoons are created for an underage public, therefore, the content does not go along with virtues like innocence, purity, kindness and altruism characteristic of the minor children. To illustrate, it must be mentioned 'Family guy', a series targeted at adult groups with formed criteria, whose main argument is the misadventures of a dysfunctional family, which is clearly not an appropriate topic for children. For these reasons, it is parents due to take action and to supervise their children activity with respect to this kind of television material no matter if it is from previous years or modern.
